In Memory of Skip

Skip dedicated every day for the last 30 years of his life to the mission of OPR Coastal Primate Sanctuary. He had such compassion, respect, and love for every lost Primate that found their way to a safe, happy, enriched life at the sanctuary he helped create so many years ago.

I could feel the joy and love in his heart each day as he stopped briefly during chores to let Mandy Pants groom the long hairs on his arms, to give marshmallow treats to Cornelius, and return ‘happy grunts’ to Habib as he tickled his toes outstretched beyond the chain-link.

While I must continue the rest of my life making sure the monkeys at OPR have a safe, healthy and happy life, Skip will continue his, helping God care for those who have already passed.

Assuring the continuance of the mission of OPR long past our time, and to help create a kinder place on earth for the animals we cherish, has always been and will always be our life’s mission.
